I'm Annika - visual artist specializing in graphic design based here and there in Ontario, Canada.
My passion for design lies in branding and brand identity. I love conceptualizing and executing the story and vision of a brand starting in its infancy of moodboards and core values, into full actualization through colours, typography, logo, illustrations and more. I am confident in crafting identities that speak to its own unique, carefully curated pathos and visual language.
Through my time attaining a degree in Visual Culture and Communication at the University of Toronto, I became adept at being able to see things beyond a denotative level and developed a deep fondness for all forms of art, all of which inform my practice today.
From the depths of Caravaggio's chiaroscuro, to Wong Kar Wai's electrifying shots of the Hong Kong cityscape, to Yoko Taro's philosophically daunting and emotionally devastating exploration of the human condition in the form of Nier Automata - I have a deep respect for those who dare to create when any and all creation dares to be forgotten in a society engrossed by simulacra, excess and novelty.
